Lots of people also use it as part of a maintenance strategy to prevent further injury in the future. It is probably worth mentioning at this point, that when you injure your back, it’s very rare to not experience problems again.
Pilates is a good preventative and long-term repair technique for individuals with lower back pain. It is centered on building the muscles that support your spine, known as core strength. In doing so, you’re handling the risk of further injury as the body starts to gain strength in the right areas. There are two types of Pilates to choose from called clinical or classic.
Much like Pilates, yoga is another preventative strategy. Lots of people actually start yoga to help alleviate or manage low back pain. Yoga provides a structured method of stretching of the muscles and helps build strength over time.
